One Bowl Honey Bars
One Bowl Honey Bars
½ cup butter (one stick), softened
⅓ cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups flour (I used Namaste GF flour)
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup mix-ins (chocolate chips are our favorite)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9x9 baking pan and set aside.
In a large bowl, add the butter, honey, and brown sugar. Mix well to combine (no need to use a mixer). Add the egg and vanilla, and mix until combines. Add the flour and salt, and mix again.
Add whatever mix-ins you wish and stir until combined.
Pour into the prepared pan.
Bake 30 minutes or until edges are slightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Makes 16 bars.
